from my heart to the world
hallie newnam, under the artist name “eillah,” began her music journey in the summer of 2018 with her debut single “someday.” intersecting razor sharp reality with childlike escapism, she hopes to connect each listener to their truest emotions through her words, sounds & vulnerability.
since releasing her debut solo album "in my head" in spring 2021, she continues to let her experiences and sensitivity guide her toward her next creative ventures. she is currently in the process of recording her sophomore solo album "the world spins and my heart beats."
in addition to her musical career, she expresses herself through mediums of poetry, photography, video, fashion, modeling, drawing, graphic design & foreign language. she exercises many of these passions as a class of '23 graduate from columbia college chicago (BA in music business, minors in pre-law & journalism) and celebrates her love for art and creation as a digital project coordinator.
